BIRDLAND BROTHERS 

Brothers Ralph (saxophone) and Wolff Reichert (drums) practically grew up at Hamburg’s BIRDLAND, where they had the chance to see just about every jazz great perform live and soak up their music and stories. Inspired by these jazz masters—all of whom were individualists and often natural-born entertainers—they quickly came to the conclusion: “Jazz is (unfortunately) the best music there is.”—and, of course, both went on to become musicians. Together with their longtime friends and collaborators Buggy Braune (piano), Gerold Donker (double bass), and Johannes Brachtendorf (trumpet), the BIRDLAND Brothers play “homemade” jazz that is both fresh and timeless—and accessible to every audience.
