In the organizer's words:

The BLACK RAT COLLECTIVE is a non-profit DIY concert crew from Munich and, after the long Corona break, is once again organizing a punk/HC concert evening every third Thursday of the month at Sunny Red, Feierwerk.

Our aim is to provide a platform for a progressive, non-commercial subculture in Munich, which should be accessible to everyone, regardless of the size of their wallet. Admission is on a donation basis, with any surplus going directly to the bands. In addition to having fun partying and loving music, we are united by our rejection of existing conditions: we reject all forms of discrimination and domination - accordingly, racism, sexism, homophobia, anthropocentrism, authoritarian behavior and other bullshit have no place at our events.

The BANDS:

Punk can be a lot of things: including melancholy. However, combining this with aggression and speed is a balancing act that needs to be learned. With their 2021 demo "мир" (released as a split tape with Kaviar via Noise Merchant Records/R.A.S.) , CIRQUE DE LA MERDE definitely set an example in this direction and the debut LP "Favourite Season" (Keep it a secret/Kink records) released in March 2024 is more than just a further development. The drums are always present and powerful, the string instruments meander through the politically critical and profound emotional worlds of the lyrics with mostly melancholic sounds. The fact that the Innsbruck-based combo brings joy to the stage at their live shows and encourages people to dance with a smile could almost be read sarcastically given all these attributes. At the same time, this describes the best impetus for a charged punk show, where the focus is on having fun in such memorable times. (Source: Band)

People run at a fast pace through a world they don't understand. Shadows waft through dark moleholes. Lights flash on and go out again. Timetables, working hours, every second chopped up into its individual parts. A million truths, a million lies. Where is there a foothold, where the energy to carry on, where the air to breathe? Feedback cuts through rusty clouds of fog, an angry man steps out of the crowd and violently snatches the microphone. Sounds of an argument come from the background: "Damn, it must be so loud!" - "But then the speakers will explode!" The sound engineer's voice sounds shrill and confused. A scream suddenly drowns out all the chatter and chattering:

"I'm angry!!!"
Bass roars.
Wall of sound,
change of rhythm,
Tension - exhalation - energy!

We are RÖTTEN SHOCK, an anarchistic punk band from Munich. With our socially critical lyrics in Spanish, German and English, we deal with various topics on surveillance, gentrification, Catholic institutions, but also the understanding of roles (keyword: gender) in the scene and society. 100% DIY punk against machismo, racism, homo-/transphobia...
