To call the Swede Benjamin Reichwald alias Bladee just a rapper is actually a little short-sighted . To be more precise, he is a rapper, singer, producer, designer and member of the artist collective Drain Gang. His artwork can often be admired as covers of his albums or elements of his live shows. However, Reichwald's first love was music: at the age of 13, he founded the punk band Krossad with his Swedish-British companion and Drain Gang colleague Ecco2K , and his first rap album "Eversince" was released in 2016. Early fans particularly appreciate Bladee'smixtape "Icedancer" from 2018, which contains two of his most successful songs , "Be Nice 2 Me" and "Side By Side" feat. Bladee doesn 't often give interviews, but in a conversation about his first major solo art exhibition in London, "Real Sprin9", in 2023, he made an exception and said that he was fascinated by punk and anger as a teenager. He saw a young guy in a punk robe and he was hooked. However, that quickly changed: "I was really obsessed with punk noise, but then I discovered melodies for myself and marched in that direction just as obsessively."

Today, Bladee drives a dark, atmospheric, glitch-ridden, highly melodic, often sung rather than rapped sound that has earned him a deeply devoted fan base over the years .On his album "Cold Visions",released at the end of April , he takes this trademark sound into particularly dark and beautiful realms . He even wowed the otherwise often so critical critics of the music magazine "Pitchfork". They attested thatBladee's record was his best to date ."Cold Visions" is "an unsettling 30-song album that also gives him a chance to reflect on his dizzying rise. It'stantalizingly darker than most of what he's released in recent years."

Knowing Bladee'screativity, which he expresses in many art forms, you can be sure that his live shows announced today will also celebrate the mesmerizing, dark vibe of "Cold Visions". Coupled with his stage skills and his obsessive love of melodic, cutting-edge rap, he is sure to delight fans old and new.
