Come to the Cosmaki Atelier - or pop-up locations - and dye with real indigo. You choose your raw materials on site. No previous knowledge necessary. 2 hours. Pick up after ~7 days.

Blue dyeing is not a trend. It is one of the oldest craft practices in the world - for thousands of years, on every continent.

In the Cosmaki studio - and at selected pop-ups in Cologne - you can experience this tradition for yourself. Without prior knowledge, without preparation. You come, choose your blank on site, fold, tie or dip freely. What comes out of the bath and turns from green to blue before your eyes is unlike anything else in the world.

Every vat is alive. It is cared for, fed and activated every day. What you dye is always a piece of this moment.

We pre-stain all blanks with natural plant substances - this opens up the fibers and ensures that the indigo penetrates deeply and really holds. After dyeing, we take care of washing out, fixing and ironing. After approx. 7 days you can pick up your piece or we will send it to you.

The studio fee is €9.90 per person - one time, as many blanks as you like. You choose and pay for the blanks on site, from 12€.

Bring your own pieces.

Do you have an old T-shirt, shirt or blouse that deserves a new lease of life? At Blaumachen you can bring your own natural fiber textiles and dye them with indigo - included in the studio fee, up to 2 pieces. Cotton, linen, hemp - synthetic fibers do not accept indigo.

A sign of circularity and a more conscious approach to clothing: Existing pieces are not replaced, but reinterpreted - and given a new life cycle.
