"Bless the River" Kunstausstellung

A river remains a river, even though its water is constantly changing. In this sense, “Bless the River” offers an expanded interpretation of the river. Just as a riverbed sets a direction, we, too, move along a path laid out by our ancestors. How and whether we flow along this path is up to us—whether we sprint or stroll, come to a complete standstill, or perhaps carve out a path all our own.

The exhibition is deliberately interdisciplinary in design. Different media engage in a dialogue that does not smooth over contradictions but rather makes them productive. It is precisely the combination of installation, textiles, and painting that highlights the diversity of artistic strategies within Afro-diasporic perspectives. Together, they form a visual and spatial language that raises questions about belonging, memory, and the future without providing definitive answers.
