BR-Podcast „Seelenfänger”: exklusives Prelistening

…and it’s in some ways even more bizarre and outlandish than any season before!

“Seelenfänger,” the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation’s podcast, tells the stories of people who have fallen into problematic groups or become tied to (self-proclaimed) gurus. The podcast repeatedly attempts to answer the question: Why do people do things they later regret? Why do some of them stick with it for years—even when they realize something isn’t right? And: How do they manage to break free?

The new season of “Seelenfänger” takes listeners to a so-called “living room guru” in Germany, to secret meetings in hotel rooms, and presents very special challenges for the authors Christiane Hawranek and Katja Paysen-Petersen. During their investigative research, they found themselves shaking their heads in disbelief time and again.
