Brainwalk in der Flora: Frischer Wind für Ihre grauen Zellen!
In the organizer's words:
Would you like to boost your memory while enjoying the botanical splendor of Cologne's flora? Forget boring seminar rooms - we're taking the brain training outside! During our 2.5-hour brainwalk, we combine gentle exercise in the fresh air with targeted exercises for concentration, memory and word finding.
Why movement inspires thinking:
Scientific studies show: People who move think faster. The combination of coordination and cognitive challenge creates new neuronal connections and keeps the mind flexible into old age.
The benefits at a glance:
Cognitive boost: Increased concentration and mental stamina.
Stress reduction: Nature has a calming effect, lowers cortisol levels and clears the mind.
Direct transfer: You learn simple techniques that you can easily integrate into your everyday life.
Holistic experience: We use all the senses - smelling the flowers, seeing the structures and conscious walking help you to retain information.
Key dates:
Where: Meeting point main entrance of the Flora, Cologne.
Duration: approx. 2.5 hours (including breaks).
Equipment: Comfortable shoes, weather-appropriate clothing and some water.
Give your brain an upgrade and enjoy the green lungs of Cologne at the same time.
Note: The Flora has greenhouses that are open to visitors free of charge. This would be an alternative for rainy weather. Of course, you don't have a large radius of movement there, but part of the event - during a shower - could be held there.
