One woman, 7 roles, 9 puppets, 109 songs and 80 minutes of playback theater condense Heinrich von Kleist's "Der zerbrochne Krug" into an entertaining pop music courtroom drag show with hand-held puppets. Behind the dispute over the broken jug lies a story about lies and abuse of power. Can justice prevail in the end? Berlin performer Bridge Markland is a virtuoso of role play and transformation. She crosses boundaries between dance, theater, cabaret, drag, gender performance and puppet theater with ease. She has been performing professionally on stage since 1985 and has toured her shows worldwide. Bridge is a pioneer of drag and gender performance in Germany and initiated the first go drag! festival took place in Berlin in 2002.
