Anyone who can win one of the most famous competitions in the piano world must have extraordinary abilities. When Bruce Liu won first prize at the Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw in 2021, it was clear: this man is extraordinary.

Born in Paris, trained in Canada, awarded prizes in Poland, now at home all over the world. At first, however, there was little to indicate this rapid career: "When I was young, I had many hobbies," says Bruce Liu, naming chess, swimming and other sports. "I wasn't the type to practice all the time." That way, he never put any pressure on himself and was able to make his choice in peace. Fortunately, he chose the piano, and today Liu is one of the most sought-after pianists of the younger generation.
