THF is not just the history of a large and magnificent building, the history of Tempelhof Airport is also, and in particular, the history of people who have worked here or who associate very personal experiences with THF.
Some of these voices are recorded in Carl-Ludwig Paeschke's new book "Flughafen Tempelhof. The story of a legend", which was published on the 100th anniversary of the airport. The author has repeatedly studied the history of THF over many years, collected eyewitness accounts and will be presenting them.
Among these witnesses is Alexander Stöcker: he was one of Berlin's best-known photojournalists in the first half of the 20th century. He repeatedly captured important events and everyday life at the airport with his camera.
Berlin aviation historian Prof. Holger Steinle has been researching and documenting his legacy for years and has compiled Alexander Stöcker's most beautiful photos for the book and this evening.
