The workshop discussion

While politicians are discussing the return of compulsory military service and the Bundeswehr is massively expanding its presence in schools and universities, schoolgirls are organizing resistance on the streets across Germany. We want to discuss militarization in education, the conscription debate and democratic alternatives.

As an alliance of school strike activists, student teachers and critical young teachers, we cordially invite you to the workshop discussion.

We will discuss the following questions together:

• What role should the Bundeswehr play in schools?
• Where is the boundary between information and influence?
• What does the current debate on compulsory military service mean for young people?
• What alternatives are there to armament and compulsory service?

Workshop discussion with short inputs, controversial discussion and space for your perspectives.

Admission is free for all young people under the age of 28.
