BURN Meet-up Cologne

Or have you heard about them and are curious to find out what they’re all about? Then come check it out!

We’re displaying a few personal photos from past Burns that invite us to share our experiences—and if you’d like and have one, feel free to bring a photo of your favorite Burn moment to hang up.

Music from some Burn-experienced DJs and delicious drinks round out this laid-back bar night, perfect for getting to know each other.

This is where a community is forming for everyone who wants to keep the Burn Spirit alive here in Cologne—a place to network, share ideas, and get to know one another. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or a newcomer: everyone is welcome!

So just stop by, bring some friends, and be curious. 
 

What exactly is a “Burn”?

A Burn event modeled after Burning Man—a temporary community that springs up in the middle of the desert for a few days, then disappears completely, leaving nothing behind but a footprint in the sand (“Leave No Trace”). Burns are based on 10 Principles—guiding ideas that make the community what it is. Everyone is welcome; everyone takes care of their own independence, yet at the same time, a spirit of cooperation plays a huge role in creating an event together that amazes everyone who participates. There are now countless such events worldwide—from AfrikaBurn in South Africa to smaller “Regional Burns” across the globe. The unifying element is always that special spirit of openness, creativity, and genuine togetherness—and that’s exactly the spirit we want to experience in Cologne.
