With just a few songs, Apollo Online makes it clear what the plan is: good guitars, sing-along
hooks, rousing compositions and forming a brutal band from the one-man show of the
multi-instrumentalist. The North American-German grew up
between Beatles and Beethoven, educating himself musically with Coldplay and Stevie Wonder.
Wonder himself. The fact that he makes the German language casual again, frees it from the
and freeing it from its cramps and canting is almost logical. Apollo Online does this with a
self-evidently reminiscent of Bilderbuch or Wanda and, despite the infectious
infectious light-heartedness in his language, the songs have a gripping depth. Thus
he talks about losses and victories, about great love and even greater doubts.
To put it in his own words: "Nobody really knows/Let's go for a ride".
