When Calum Scott steps on stage, goosebump moments are guaranteed for the audience. With his crystal-clear, unique voice, he sings soulful ballads that come from the heart and get under the skin. Just eight years ago, the singer from England would never have imagined that he would go platinum and gold in 21 countries with his singing. Until 2015, the then 26-year-old was still working as a personnel consultant in a city hall, not knowing that his life would change completely when he signed up for Britain's Got Talent. There he took part with the soulful cover of "Dancing On My Own", originally by Swedish singer Robyn, and eventually made it to the final. The fact that they didn't put him on the winner's podium at the end of the talent show will probably still annoy the jurors today. Because the song with which he competed in the castings rose to number two in the British charts just one year later. And this success continues to this day. The British singer has also appeared on German television a few times: On The Voice of Germany, he shared the stage with some of the finalists* and performed the song "Run With Me" with Anny Ogrezeanu (won in 2022). Despite such fame, Calum Scott remains close to his fans. The "the boy from next door" mentality only makes his lyrics and melodies seem more tangible.
