Campino, legendary frontman of Die Toten Hosen, recently changed stages: In spring 2024, the punk suddenly found himself in the Audimax. He gave two lectures as part of the Heinrich Heine Guest Professorship at Düsseldorf University. The starting point for his appointment: his affinity for lyrical texts, which he has proven time and again as one of the country's most successful songwriters. Now his lectures have been published under the title Kästner, Kraftwerk, Cock Sparrer. A declaration of love to commercial poetry. The reflections are political and personal, tell of Düsseldorf and art, of the influence of English punk, of Germany's Nazi past and of his own ageing - an inspiring journey through German contemporary history and his own texts written over forty years.
Also on stage: Andreas "Kuddel" von Holst, guitarist of the Hosen. An evening not to be missed.
