Carlos Groove Kitchen bei der Fête de la Musique

On the occasion of the Fête de la Musique, Carlos Groove Kitchen brings international groove and African rhythms to the stage at ZIMMER 16.

After 27 years of musical experience, Carlos Dalelane founded his own band - true to the motto: "Let's groove". He wants to make every single listener dance to the rhythm and transport them to the coast of Africa. His unique style is a mixture of African, funky and jazzy influences and turns the songs into a rollercoaster of emotions for the audience.

Carlos Dalelane sings in his mother tongue Ronga and in Portuguese, and his dominant bass lines add another unmistakable touch. In his pieces, he incorporates two musical styles from his homeland in a modern way: "Majika", a traditional dance from the south of Mozambique, and "Marrabenta", a dance so named by the Portuguese.
