Georges Bizet’s opera *Carmen* is one of the most fascinating and most frequently performed works in music history. Unfolding over four acts, the story centers on the freedom-loving Carmen and is marked by intense emotions, dangerous love, and the harsh realities of life in Seville, Spain, around 1820. The concert transports you to a world full of passion, longing, and inescapable tragedy. Look forward to a musical journey in which Bizet’s world-famous arias and striking melodies reveal their full expressive power.
Since its founding in 2013 by the outstanding violin soloist Prof. Igor Malinovsky, the chamber ensemble of the DRESDNER RESIDENZ ORCHESTER has succeeded in bringing great works to the stage with a small ensemble, using its own arrangements and interpretations. Of course, this is only possible thanks to the virtuosity of the individual musicians and their ability to achieve perfect ensemble playing in this small ensemble.
