Frankfurt, August 15, 2023 - After the successful last part of the worldwide "Beneath The Arise" tour through the USA in September/October 2022, Sepultura founders Max & Iggor Cavalera will come to Germany again as part of the "Morbid Devastation" tour in November 2023 with a performance of the re-recorded classics "Bestial Devastation" (1985) and "Morbid Visions" (1986). The Brazilian metal legends will make guest appearances in Wiesbaden (Schlachthof) on November 17, 2023, in Cologne (Kantine) on November 24, 2023, in Leipzig (Hellraiser) on November 25, 2023, and in Berlin (Metropol) on November 26, 2023. Almost 40 years after the start of their unique career, the two Cavalera brothers Max and Iggor have re-recorded the two releases that catapulted them onto the world stage of heavy metal: The 1986 debut "Morbid Visions" and the first EP "Bestial Devastation" from 1985. After the "Return To Roots" tour in 2017 and the "Beneath The Arise" tour in 2019, they are now celebrating their past once again by making the two releases the focus of their new tour. The website metal.de writes about it: "For what applies to the EP, applies equally to the re-recording of "Morbid Visions". The sound is much clearer than the original, but retains the basic attitude. The songs are much more competently recorded and as a result, details in the arrangements are more audible. Meanwhile, the cover represents a professionally prepared version of the original theme." So the thrashers from Brazil are going right back to where they came from. To adequately bring it all to the stage, they get live support from bassist Igor Amadeus Cavalera (Healing Magic, Go Ahead And Die) and guitarist Travis Stone (Pig Destroyer, Desolus). Max Cavalera on the re-recordings: "Sometimes you just have to go back to where it all started! We re-recorded "Bestial Devastation" and "Morbid Visions" with the fantastic sound of today, but still keeping their raw and timeless spirit. In addition, there are also two new tracks with riffs from those days that we still knew by heart." Iggor Cavalera adds, "I always felt that the recordings of our earlier works didn't live up to the way we played the songs live. So this is a very special moment in our lives and we are proud to show the fans our true performance of these great releases." Sepultura are among the pioneers of nu metal, mixing punk and metal with traditional Brazilian elements to create a unique style. The brothers Max and Iggor wrote heavy metal history especially in the nineties. Especially with the three works "Arise" (1991), "Chaos A.D."
