CHANCE FESTIVAL 2024
The CHANCE Festival is a true affair of the heart: a festival that, for the fourth time, combines current pop music with sustainability and diversity.
This year, it will take place on Saturday, September 7 in Düsseldorf's Hofgarten and at the Theatermuseum with a focus on Europe. The innovative
tive and avant-garde CHANCE Festival is a fair and intergenerational project that promotes sustainable and solidary development as well as diversity - new for Germany and France in its structure and intention. We want to bring current French-language pop music to the stage, by artists who care about social issues - and who are particularly committed to sustainability and diversity.
Francophone live music is presented by four French musical talents from Provence, Marseille, Paris and Bordeaux. These vibrant regions are home to remarkable artists who will capture hearts with their music and set the Hofgarten stage alight. Czesare, Amalia, Aupinard and Féfé - each of them brings their own unique story and musical signature: Czesare is a poetic voice from Provence who combines jazz, indie rock and alternative pop. Amalia is a determined rapper and singer from Marseille who represents youth and impresses with sincere lyrics. Aupinard is a bossa nova lover from Bordeaux who became famous through TikTok and has not only already performed on the big Olympia stage in Paris, but also at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival in July. Féfé is an experienced artist from the Parisian banlieue, formerly part of the Saïan Supa Crew, who is reaching new heights with his latest solo album.
Parallel to the stage program, there will also be DJ sets and panels on the topics of Europe, democracy and pop culture in the Theatermuseum.
"In a time of increasing extremism and polarization, it is important to stand up for a united Europe based on solidarity. With the CHANCE Festival, we are therefore committed to a social, diverse and ecological coexistence in which culture and especially pop music is understood as an opportunity to achieve these goals across generations," say the organizers of Serge & Nina.
French "savoir-vivre" will not be neglected in 2024 with typical French snacks and drinks: food and drink stands will be serving French specialties in front of the Theatermuseum and at the music pavilion. French and German workshop providers and exhibitors will present themselves.
The Franco-German Civic Fund supports the CHANCE Festival and all those who are actively committed to a strong European civil society. Franco-German projects that bring us closer together. Encounters across generations and borders.
