Witches' Dance Night at the TMD and Goethe Museum in cooperation with the Frauenkulturbüro e.V.

Once again this year, on the night of April 30th to May 1st, the TMD, together with the Goethe Museum and the Frauenkulturbüro NRW, invites you to Walpurgis Night, the Witches' Dance Night. Together with the artists ZOE and Evamaria Schaller, we celebrate the energies of witches and the supernatural. Our dress code "Female Rage" is also the motto of this Walpurgis Night: rage becomes a center of power and solidarity. In addition to performances, we have prepared DIY offers for you, opened our exhibitions and finally we will dance the night away to the beats of DJane T/Error. Not in the mood to dance into May? Then celebrate with the witches!

Running Order

5-7 p.m.: Afternoon program for children from 6 years, families and adults (in the Theater and Goethe Museum)

• Walpurgis magic - your guardian spirit in a bag
• Magical blossoms - your joy as a flower
• Witch pictures - your strength as a witch

7-9 p.m.: Evening program for adults in the Goethe Museum

• including a performance by Evamaria Schaller

9-1 pm: Evening program for adults in the TMD

• approx. 20:30/21: Ritual and procession with ZOE Female Rage (start at the Goethe Museum)
• afterwards: Artist Talk with ZOE, Miriam Owusu-Tutu and Evamaria Schaller
• approx. 10pm-1am: Party with DJane T/Error
• approx. 21:30-0: DIY of the elements:
  • Fire: Biographical memories as texts - Burn the anger
  • Earth: Seedballs - Let beautiful things grow out of anger
  • Water: Watercolor drawing - What does your witch look like?
  • Air: 99+ balloons - Feel weightless joy
  • Life force: Magic bags - Transform your anger into hope
