Chanson-atelier - Chor-Workshop des Instituts

A choral atelier at the Institut français Bremen.

Since January 2016, the chanson atelier at the Institut français has become a regular, popular event. Rediscover your voice and embark on an exciting journey into the fascinating world of French chanson. The singer and choirmaster Thomas Streit invites you to get to know and sing selected chansons (from Jacques Brel, Josephine Becker, France Gall and others to Rita Mitsouko).

After a vocal warm-up phase, the individual chansons will be briefly introduced and then sung together with piano accompaniment. No knowledge of sheet music is required, but enjoyment of singing and curiosity to get to know lesser-known chansons and rediscover familiar ones. Former participants, new interested parties and music lovers are cordially invited!
