In the organizer's words:
Chefdenkerwas founded in 2002 and has been about as stable ever since as the euro cash introduced at the same time. Concept albums are released at irregular intervals, though the concept has remained the same for over 20 years: Each record has 19 songs, one of which is sung by Guido vom Flockenberg.
While many artists go their own way, Chefdenker simply go nowhere at all. Because the law of conservation of energy applies here as well: "In a closed system, all mechanical energy is conserved in the absence of friction. The various forms of energy can only be converted into one another." Translated, this means: The energy-saving wizards of Chefdenker are sometimes “rock ’n’ roll” punk, sometimes “old-guy rock” punk, and other times (…please insert any determiner here) punk—depending on which way the wind is blowing.
DETLEF...Detlef emerged from the ruins of Cologne’s urban Asipop movement in November 2017. Detlef is the legitimate successor and militant arm of Supernichts! The two congenial punk rock veterans Detlef Löber (drums, vocals) and Detlef Meurer (guitar, vocals) from Supernichts and Knochenfabrik are joined by Detlef Damm (bass, vocals) from Incoming Leergut.
Are you sick of the eco-parents in their functional jackets from the north with their brats? Have you always wanted to know how lawyers make love? Can you hardly wait to find out how the complicated situation between Thomas, Nicole, and Markus at the Resterampe turns out? Do you want to get rid of 13 tons of dirt, scream “BARCLAY JAMES HARVEST!” even though you don’t really like the band, or have you just smoked and drunk too much?
Then Detlef is just the thing for you, because the Cologne band throws one punk rock banger after another into the crowd. Sometimes against the ones up there, sometimes about the ones down there, sometimes about themselves, sometimes about men who love to dance, sometimes about those who desperately need to pee while driving, and also about the bums who love to turn right.
Mid-tempo meets upbeat melodic punk rock. Anthem meets 60-second tantrum. One thing is always clear: There has to be a rift running through Germany! A self-deprecating rift!
