Christian Evers: THE JAZZ SERIES (Kunstausstellung mit Live - Musik)

In the organizer's words:

The Jazz series is a collection of painterly-abstract snapshots of musicians, particularly from the Munich area, in the midst of their stage performances.

The works capture the enthusiasm and characteristic appearance of the musicians and reflect the unique atmosphere created by their music.

At the same time, it refers to the phenomenon of transience, as form and sound spring from a silent space and inevitably return to it. This cyclical transience can be experienced particularly in Zen as well as in jazz: fleeting phenomena that immediately fade into nothingness again. Infinitely precious, because the moment will never be the same again.

With a reduced attention to detail, the series creates a visual symphony that visually translates the acoustic experience of sound and rhythm. The constant challenge is to keep the musicians recognizable and maintain their individual presence despite the dynamic brushwork.

This comprehensive, ongoing series honors the great musicians, the moment in which sound and rhythm unite to form a groove, and all those who share this passion.

It has already been presented several times in private and public exhibitions in Munich and will be on display at Hansa - Haus, Brienner Str. 39, 80333 Munich (MVV stop U2 Königsplatz) from January 23 to February 22, 2025.
