Christin Henkel and band

Christin Henkel masters all emotions. From extraordinarily funny to mean to deeply moving. That's why she needed a new genre to put all her talents and sound colors in one drawer. And voilà: the Kla-Ka-Son was born - the piano cabaret chanson. For ten years, the singer-songwriter with the deep black humor has been touring across the country, has been a guest in numerous cabaret shows, has written orchestral, film and theater music on the side, has published three albums as well as various books in the Knaur, Eulenspiegel and Reclam publishing houses. She writes songs about confused "infaulenzer*innen", the aperolization of the world and the question that most concerns Munich residents: Do I have to walk over corpses when looking for an apartment? In 2019 she was awarded the Förderpreis für junge Liedermacher*innen der Hanns-Seidl-Stiftung and in 2020 the Sonderpreis der Münchner Philharmoniker. In 2023 she is nominated for the German Music Author*s Award.
