Shortly after buying a house in need of renovation, Cindy in Schmalkalden leans her completely filthy cell phone against her Red Bull can, presses record and starts talking. Since then, she has been taking her now 1 million followers with her through the ups and downs of her house renovation. What she didn't expect at the time: the anger of men about her DIY renovation. Criticism, derogatory comments and hatred rained down on her every day. Cindy talks about what many women who venture into male-dominated areas have to experience: they are underestimated, ridiculed or even treated with hostility. However, the young woman and mother not only has to assert herself there, but also in her own environment. From passive-aggressive remarks at family dinners to the wry looks she receives at nursery - Cindy uses her usual biting humor to expose society's almost unattainable expectations of a woman and mother. But she also shows what it means to fight back and realize your own dreams against the odds.

Cindy-Adriana Speich is the epitome of "do it yourself". She has fulfilled her dream of owning her own home in her very own way: Together with her husband, the trained hairdresser bought a house that was threatened with demolition - and dared to do the unimaginable. Without any previous knowledge of the trade, but with all the more courage, passion and perseverance, she renovated the house herself. Today, Cindy inspires over 1 million followers with her authentic content about her life as a young mother on a building site.
