Hubert Nuss (*1964) has recorded over 60 CDs as a jazz pianist and has been involved in numerous studio productions (including for WDR, NDR, SDR, SWF, HR, RIAS) and has played with Mel Lewis, Clark Terry, Shirley Bassey, Benny Bailey, Peter Weniger, Bobby Shew, Don Menza, Johnny Griffin, Art Farmer, Slide Hampton, Toots Thielemans, Ack van Rooyen, Paul Heller, Jeff Hamilton, Carl Allen, Dennis lrwin, John Abercrombie, Till Brönner, Paul Kuhn, Bob

Brookmeyer, Peter Herbolzheimer's RC&B, Wolfgang Haffner. His trio with John Goldsby and John Riley recorded 5 CDs and won several awards such as CD of the month in AUDIO and PIANO NEWS, as well as the SCALA AWARD. In 2008 he was awarded the WDR Jazz Prize for Improvisation and in 2012 he was nominated for the GEMA German Music Writer's Prize. He has also made a name for himself as a teacher through his teaching activities at the music academies in Weimar, Mannheim, Cologne and Berlin as well as at many workshops. He has been a professor of jazz piano at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts since 2018.
