AELITA is an unusual Soviet Russian silent film that blends science fiction with everyday comedy; it humorously depicts life in the early Soviet Union and introduces a utopian element through the cosmonaut dreams of the young engineer Loss: After an incident at the radio station, Loss begins to dream of a flight to Mars. There he discovers a feudal, highly advanced civilization and encounters a love capable of sparking a revolution. AELITA has gone down in film history for its futuristic sets depicting life on Mars.

Cleaning Women is a Finnish rock band known for their homemade instruments, on which they play experimental rock music. Their music oscillates between techno and avant-garde disco, blending industrial, European folk music, and modern dance rhythms. Their pulsating sound is created using everyday objects. A clothes drying rack served as the basic model for the development of versatile instruments with tunable steel strings, played with wooden and metal drumsticks. Contact microphones attached to the frame capture the sound of the racks. They also use homemade guitars and a large percussion ensemble made of tin cans, steel drums from washing machines, and plastic fermentation tanks. Their stage show is reminiscent of German cabaret from the 1920s and the expressionist films of Weimar cinema.
