Club Night: Love is Everywhere

The “Love is Everywhere” community party series, founded by DJ Tina Edwards, is inspired by the spirit of the “utopian” dance scene of the 1970s—featuring Afrobeat, house, funk, soul, balloons, disco balls, apricots, soap bubbles, “lofting,” and plenty of love. That’s how the organizers of the series—named after a song by Pharoah Sanders—describe their events. With the goal of collective joy that celebrates community and solidarity on the dance floor, where everyone feels comfortable and can express themselves freely—free from any form of harassment or oppression. Their mission statement reads: “When you enter our party, you automatically agree to the ‘Love Is Everywhere’ party pledge: to treat your fellow dancers with respect and love, with warmth, richness, and clarity.” At Enjoy Jazz, “Love Is Everywhere” can be experienced outside of London for the first time.
