COHEN Tribute Show: Eine Stimme, ein Klavier und die magischen Songs von Leonard Cohen

The songwriter Leonard Cohen (†2016) is a music legend. With songs such as Suzanne and Hallelujah, he has enchanted millions of people for generations. Covering him, recreating the unique magic of his work, is a risk for any artist.

But singer and pianist Martin Kubetz masters this challenge with flying colors! Seemingly effortlessly, he brings Cohen's spirit to life and completely captivates the audience. He does not even think about copying the unattainable role model. Instead, he focuses on independent, often surprising interpretations, which he brings to the stage with an expressive baritone and virtuoso piano playing. Atmospheric interludes and anecdotes link the songs into a coherent whole and at the same time allow the audience to immerse themselves even more deeply in Cohen's multi-layered poetry.

On the occasion of Leonard Cohen's 90th birthday in 2024, Kubetz is performing a new version of his show that not only focuses on the timelessness of Cohen's work, but also on its sometimes astonishing topicality. Not a nostalgia show, but an evening full of powerful lyrics and inspiring music!
