In the organizer's words:
Karlmer is coming to Cologne for the first time!! We can't wait to play for new fans, party with you, and sing our songs! Let's goooo <3
Karlmer is an alternative rock band formed in Byron Bay, Australia, in 2025 by
frontman Tim Degen, now based between Speyer and Berlin, Germany, with
Jasmin Azarfar (bass), Roman Fischer (drums), and Lukas Büttner (lead guitar).
After just a few weeks of rehearsals, they played a sold-out debut show (80-person capacity).
Within just six months, they were booked for “Das Fest” in
Karlsruhe in 2026, Unifest 2026 in Karlsruhe, performed at the HaDiKo Student
Festival, sold out Tollhaus (300 capacity), and a 180-capacity self-organized headline show in
an old church in Speyer, and landed a radio interview on Die Neue Welle with
airplay.
The band got 2026 off to a great start with a nearly sold-out show in Karlsruhe, a packed
surprise pub show in their hometown of Speyer, and a sold-out show in Berlin (60-capacity),
another sold-out show in Speyer (100 capacity) to celebrate their one-year anniversary.
Their spring and summer 2026 is fully booked with more than 10 shows at festivals
and their own headline shows.
Their sound is reminiscent of ’90s and early 2000s alternative rock with a modern
touch of surf rock, punk, and grit. The band also saw significant growth over the course of that year
on Spotify and other streaming and social media platforms and are currently
building a fun community around them that they love.
