Comic Fair Cologne 2026: Your day for comics, manga & creativity

Cologne will once again become the capital of drawn fantasy! On May 2, 2026, the Stadthalle Köln-Mülheim will become a hotspot for everyone who celebrates comics, manga and illustrations. Together with BD Events, the Cologne Comic Fair is launching a day that will inspire, excite and simply be fun. Whether you're a fan, collector, cosplayer, creative or simply curious - this is the right place for you.

Two international comic greats are a special highlight this year:
François Walthéry, one of the most important representatives of the classic Belgian school and creator of the cult series "Natascha", has stood for dynamic drawing style and great comic tradition for decades.
Paul Teng, a Dutch illustrator with a focus on historical material, impresses with his detailed, atmospheric works and is one of the most influential European storytellers in his field.

The German scene is also strongly represented: Graphic novel artist Andreas Eikenroth will present his new work "Leonce & Lena" and provide insights into his artistic work.

In addition to international guests, you can expect numerous other artists, signing sessions and the opportunity to talk directly to the scene.

Comics journalists Tillmann Courth and Dirk Nett, who will provide exciting insights with their experience and passion, will guide you through the supporting program . Details on the web shortly before the trade fair.

A must for many: the Manga Area
Everything revolves around Japanese comic culture here. No matter whether you are already deep into it or just starting out: The Manga Area brings a fresh vibe and new perspectives to the trade fair.

Participate instead of just watching
You can get active yourself from around 13:00: At the free drawing workshop with Maya Wendler, you'll get first-hand tips - materials included, just sit down and get started.

Cosplay expressly encouraged
All cosplayers are invited to become part of the "Big Picture" in the adjacent Mülheim city park - a large scene photo will be created together with you at the center. From approx. 14:00 hrs.

Experience publishers up close
Among others, Salleck Publications, Edition 52, Kult Comics and SR Verlag will be there. Discover new releases, secure exclusive editions and browse through real collector's treasures.

Whether superheroes, graphic novels or manga - here you will find everything the comic world has to offer. Swap, discover, find rarities, get them signed or simply immerse yourself: Comicmesse Köln is the perfect spot for a creative day.
