Corazón Quartett

The Corazón Quartet invites you on a musical journey through Spain and South America: lyrical and virtuosic compositions drawing on the rich palette of “Flamenco Fusion”—featuring rapid guitar runs and rousing rhythms from Andalusia and Cuba—interweave with improvisations to create a truly unique listening experience.

A shared passion for world music has transformed four professional musicians into a quartet with high artistic standards: WDR competition prize winners Lori Lorenzen and Wolfgang Wallner—both on guitar—as well as Peter Cudek on double bass and Andreas Kutschera on percussion.

On this evening, the quartet will present the music from its new CD, “EL PUENTE”: a vibrant tapestry of Mediterranean guitar music brimming with vitality, energy, and a joy of playing. Original compositions are featured alongside pieces by well-known guitarists such as Paco de Lucía, Gerardo Nuñez, and Josemi Carmona—often cheerful and spirited, occasionally calm and dreamy. Music from the heart—Corazón, in other words.
