Cordoba78 are the most exciting newcomer band Austria has to offer at the moment - and they know exactly how to turn a club into a stadium. Sweaty shirts, suits that are far too big, guitar solos like something from the last century. Sometimes it sounds like the end of a party, sometimes like the beginning of something really big. Mostly both.
What began as a jam session in a rehearsal room has become one of the most exciting band stories in the German-speaking world in two years: 60 live shows in the summer of 2026, support for Ennio, Betterov and Sportfreunde Stiller - and their first tour of 16 cities in the fall. The "I absolutely have to miss it" tour.
"We're not a Viennese band," says singer Carlo. "We come from a small town. Because it proves that clever, loud, left-wing music can also come from there." Behind the sound: Carlo Giulio Sossella (vocals), Tobias Fussenegger (guitar), Paul Pichler (piano), Georg Pinter (bass) and Alex Fetz (drums) - somewhere between indie, pop and cathartic megalomania. Roaring blues guitar, soul piano, stadium melancholy. A collective ecstasy with ambition.
