Creative Voice Lab – Music, Words & Expression by Mary Jane

Are you interested in music, writing, or just trying out your creative side—without any pressure or expectations?

Then you’ve come to the right place.

The Creative Voice Lab is all about discovering your own voice and expressing yourself in new ways—through words, ideas, rhythm, and everything in between.

We’ll work together using creative prompts and methods from songwriting, music, and creative writing, leaving room for whatever wants to emerge in the moment. Sometimes quietly, sometimes loudly; sometimes on your own, and sometimes in conversation with others.

The space is generally open to everyone, and all are warmly invited. At the same time, BIPOC participants are given priority in order to create a space that is as safe and empowering as possible.

It’s not a traditional workshop, but rather a creative space to experiment, get involved, and let yourself be surprised.

Whether you’re already working creatively or are simply curious, you’re welcome.

Feel free to bring something to write with—and, above all, bring yourself.
