In this summer workshop, we will focus on cyanotopia - one of the oldest photographic processes of all. Using sunlight, water and simple materials, we will create deep blue images that oscillate between chance and design.
We work outside, collect shapes, experiment with transparencies and explore how light leaves traces. Plants, objects or our own compositions become starting points for individual pictorial worlds.
The process is decelerated and surprising at the same time: exposing, washing out, observing. What remains is an intense blue and the experience of having created something unique with simple means.
The workshop is aimed at anyone who wants to experiment; no previous knowledge is required.
