You have certainly never heard the tuba like this before: as soon as the Norwegian sound artist Daniel Herskedal begins to play, you are carried away by his mesmerizingly beautiful music, which is somewhere between jazz, avant-garde, chamber music and pop. Rarely do you hear a musician with such depth, emotional intensity and virtuosity, while at the same time pushing the boundaries of his instrument to the limit in a playful and improvisational way.
