Danny Brown enjoys a certain special status in the US hip-hop world, which has often made him an outsider. Back in 2011, MTV described him as one of the most unique rap figures, which he has proven time and again with six albums and his experimental hip-hop style. This is also the case with his latest album "STARDUST", which once again met with great media resonance and marks the first album in Danny Brown's career that he produced completely abstinent after his voluntary withdrawal from alcohol in 2023. Musikexpress named "STARDUST" Album of the Week at the beginning of November and praised Danny Brown's storytelling as well as his rhymes and double-time skills. With the new album in his luggage, Danny Brown will be coming to Berlin and Cologne in March 2026 on his STARDUST TOUR.

Daniel Dewan Sewell grew up in Detroit, Michigan and began rhyming as a child. His father introduced him to various types of music and DJing, and he quickly developed the desire to become a rapper. From 2007, he released several mixtapes under his stage name Danny Brown, of which "Hot Soup" with the song "Let's Go" attracted a lot of attention in 2008. After the release of his debut album "The Hybrid" in 2010, he was named Artist of the Year by Spin and Metro Times following the release of his mixtape "XXX". His second album "Old" brought him into the charts for the first time in 2013, where he entered the Billboard 200 at #18. After signing with Warp, Danny Brown landed at #3 on the US rap charts with his third album "Atrocity Exhibition" (2016). "Really Doe" feat. Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul & Earl Sweatshirt became the artist's most streamed track to date alongside the song "Ain't it Funny" . His fourth album "UKnoWhatImSayin?" was released in 2019 with features from Run the Jewels, Obongjayar, JPEGMAFIA and Blood Orange. Following the release of his fifth studio album "Quaranta" and "Scaring the Hoes", a collabo album with JPEGMAFIA (both in 2023), the 44-year-old released his latest album "STARDUST" in November 2025. With newfound strength, maturity and his usual level of experimentation, the artist's sixth album is possibly his most authentic work to date. The album has been described by The Guardian as "hyperpop rap" and, with influences from EDM, hyperpop and industrial 2025, proves once again why Danny Brown occupies an exceptional position.
