With DAPHNE : Under Trees we venture together into an imagined future: we enter a music installation of video, electronics and space. Lying under a 5 meter high hybrid treetop, we playfully discover our relationship to what we call nature. What if trees are not as distant from us in terms of perception and communication as we think?
Inspired by conversations with people from forest occupations and other forms of coexistence with trees, we invite you to experience the forest from new perspectives - as a place of refuge, as a projection surface and as a counterpart. //

A tree rarely stands alone.
With DAPHNE: Under Trees we imagine a future together. The work is a music installation. This means: there is music, videos and a designed space.
Visitors can move around freely. Or they can lie down - under a special 5-meter-high tree crown. There they can experience something new. The work poses questions: How do we humans relate to nature? Are trees really so different from us? Or are they perhaps closer to us than we think? The idea for the work comes from conversations. For example, with people who live in forests or want to protect them. We invite everyone to experience trees from a new perspective. The forest can be many things: A safe place. A place for wishes and thoughts. Or a counterpart - like a being of its own. //
