A duckling has barely hatched from its egg when everyone teases it: it is a very ugly duckling. Convinced of this, it finds little joy and sets off into the wide world until it seems almost lost. But it grows up and suddenly rediscovers itself. Marko Drechsel, clarinettist in the Musikalische Komödie orchestra, has created a new version of the famous fairy tale for string quartet, narrator and dancer.
