About the author:

Dr. med. Alicia Baier is 33 years old, a doctor in gynecology and performs abortions herself. Since her medical studies, she has been fascinated by this feminist topic at the interface between politics and medicine: in 2015, she founded the first German university group of Medical Students for Choice in Berlin. She has been the founding chair of Doctors for Choice Germany since 2019 and a member of the German board of FIAPAC (International Federation of Abortion and Contraception Professionals) since 2022. From 2021 to 2023, she was a board member of the Working Group Women's Health in Medicine, Psychotherapy and Health (AKF). She lives in Berlin.
