Das Woodhenge an der Nuthe - 6.700 Jahre alte Astronomie in Brandenburg - Kosmischer Mittwoch

Where did the first farmers come from in Brandenburg, and how were they able to plan their farming? The Woodhenge on the Nuthe River near Bochow is the oldest large-scale structure in Brandenburg. It is 6,700 years old—more than 1,500 years older than Stonehenge and the pyramids! The structure was a gigantic wooden calendar, likely serving as an observatory, marketplace, and religious center. The lecture provides an overview of 35 years of research and current perspectives on this unique archaeological site. A model (1:100), virtual reconstructions of the site and its users, and original artifacts from the period and from the Woodhenge will also be presented.
