Our After Work Sessions regularly take place on Mondays and are a sometimes mindful, sometimes energetic start to the week. In November, another event from our "Sessions" series awaits you - this time as a "Day Long" format:

On Friday, November 28, from 3 pm - approx. 9 pm (including dinner, flowing conclusion), we invite you to a session that, in addition to body-practical impulses, also throws short spotlights on the current artistic research of Ben J. Riepe. The new production by Ben J. Riepe Kompanie, which will premiere in spring 2026, will focus on questions relating to sound/music/sound and acoustics as well as hearing as sensory perception and its effects on our bodies. Current interlocutors of the Ben J. Riepe team in the research phase for the new play will be guest speakers at the Day Long Session.

We will start at 3 pm with a Welcoming/Breath Work by and with Ben and then hear short inputs from various researchers on the topic of sound and body (resonance). This will be followed by an introduction to the "sound meadow" by workshop leader Walter von Lingen. After a shared dinner (freshly cooked & vegetarian), we will then get to experience it for ourselves when we try out unusual instruments together on the Klangwiese, whose sounds produce special harmonies: an effortless ad hoc concert, intuitive and without notes, which brings researchers, amateurs and musicians together to play together.

No previous musical experience is required; water and snacks will be provided during the day, but you are welcome to bring a drink of your choice. We recommend wearing clothes that allow you to move and lie down comfortably.
