Der Clara-Zetkin-Park: "Bin soeben in Ausstellung angekommen" (Historische Parkführung)
In the organizer's words:
Can you imagine that there was once a theater in Clara Zetkin Park? And even the “Old City Hall”? And Wartburg Castle and a hippodrome… The attractions of the 1897 Saxon-Thuringian Industrial and Trade Exhibition continue to fascinate visitors to this day. It was the largest trade fair Leipzig had ever seen. This tour takes you back to that era. You can trace the exhibition’s history as you walk along the historic paths and past the ponds.
