Micha Hartung (Charly Hübner), a Berlin video store owner on the brink of bankruptcy, unwittingly becomes a hero across all of Germany: When a journalist portrays him as the mastermind behind the largest mass escape from the GDR on the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, his life is suddenly turned upside down. As an unwilling impostor, Micha becomes entangled in a web of half-truths and outright lies.
Director Wolfgang Becker, who passed away shortly after filming wrapped, once again tackles the topic of GDR historiography—which brought him international success with *GOOD BYE, LENIN!*—with good humor and a wink in his final film. To this end, he brings together the stars of German cinema, including Leonie Benesch, Christiane Paul, Thorsten Merten, and Daniel Brühl.

Doors open 60 minutes before the film starts. The film begins at dusk; in case of bad weather, it will be shown inside the Pelmke.
