When siblings Beth, Fran, and Joe are forced against their will to move to the countryside with their parents, a very special adventure begins for the family. In the nearby, mysterious forest, the children discover a magical tree: the Tree of Wonders, which reaches all the way up to the clouds and is home to extraordinary creatures. They quickly befriend the tree’s inhabitants—Fairy Silkhair, Mrs. Wasch, and Moonface—who whisk them away to fantastical worlds. Together, they experience fairy-tale adventures—until, on one of their journeys, they are forced to make an emergency landing in the gloomy world of the dreaded school principal, Madame Klaps. Back home, too, things suddenly aren’t going quite according to plan with the new family business… Will they manage to escape Madame Klaps’s clutches, and will they save their parents’ tomato farm? Can Seidenhaar and Mondgesicht convince the siblings that miracles are possible if you just believe in them strongly enough?
