DER SATANARCHÄOLÜGENIALKOHÖLLISCHE WUNSCHPUNSCH
In the organizer's words:
THE SATANIC-ARCHAEOLOGICAL-GENIUS-ALCOHOLIC WISH PUNCH
Based on Michael Ende’s cult classic—a devilishly entertaining evening of theater for the whole family
Director Karlina and apprentice Dottie Flott have a mission: The new school play must be humorous, profound, sophisticated, and—of course—better than last year’s. So, no pressure. Diva Melody is fighting for the lead role, Horstl keeps spouting unsolicited facts, and several actresses are steadfastly refusing to sing. But then it’s time for the curtain to rise, and the chaotic TEBSI ensemble plunges into Ende’s turbulent New Year’s Eve.
In the magic laboratory of the eccentric Beelzebub Irrwitzer and his ice-cold-yet-charming Aunt Tyrannja Vamperl, something very special is brewing on this New Year’s Eve. On the other side: the grumpy raven Jakob and the vain yet lovable cat Maurizio—two unlikely secret agents who must first battle each other before they realize what really matters. And then the clock starts ticking.
Endes’ classic is full of quirky characters, subtle humor, and a message that lingers: Evil often wears a friendly face—and only those who look closely can save the world. An absurd, heartwarming play within a play, staged by the TEBSis theater group.
We, the TEBSis (theater kids from the middle school and vocational school at the Ernst-Barlach Schools), look forward to welcoming you as our guests.
Free admission, but we welcome donations!
