Der schwarze Vinylrausch #65 – Music outside the norm

In the organizer's words:

We will open the festival season with Black Vinyl Rush #65 on May 16 at 7:30 pm at Sputnik Kino!

It's all about Music Outside the Norm - albums by bands that have impressed us in live concerts in the open air.

Kuhn Fu played at Zappanale last year - the album of the month Chain The Snake (2019) is a crazy musical mix of jazz, swing, punk, waltz and progressive rock.
We are delighted that bandleader and composer Christian Kühn has announced his visit to Vinylrausch #65 and that he will be presenting this unusual piece of music to us himself!

Sirkus were the discovery on the Mental Stage at the Burg Herzberg Festival. Their Krautrock with African grooves is a fine mixture of African blues and guitar rock with a psychedelic touch. The Noise Of Time (2018) sounds very relaxed, yet always remains exciting.

DRH round off the festival package: they have already played at both festivals. Ode to a firework is the bump and grind of this program: jazz standards and gentle saxophone repeatedly turn into dynamic metal breaks and complex rhythm changes. Incredibly good music!

Vinylrausch pays tribute to music albums as works of art and plays them loud as in a concert, in a dark movie theater, with an introduction and the song lyrics on the screen.
