The opponent
Bayer 04 Leverkusen have made an excellent start to the season. After seven games, Leverkusen already have 14 points to their name and belong to the extended top group of the league. Sylwia Matysik will meet up with her old colleagues in the match, having moved from Leverkusen to Cologne before the season. Defender Janina Hechler says: "We're really looking forward to the derby. Friday night at home, floodlit, in front of our own fans. It will be a very special game and we hope that as many fans as possible will be there."
The atmosphere
The atmosphere in the Franz Kremer Stadium is first-class. In each of the first three home games, over 1,500 spectators flocked to the stadium to watch exciting matches. Winger Laura Donhauser says: "The Franz Kremer Stadium is perfect for us. It's surrounded by greenery, it's compact, loud and the fans give us a great boost. It's a little cauldron."
