Dialogue Warriors: Werkzeuge für guten Konflikt in polarisierten Zeiten
In the organizer's words:
Workshop with Mackenzie Nelson
Please register at www.offen-fuer-kultur.de.
Dialogue Warriors addresses one of the most pressing democratic challenges in Europe: growing emotional polarization and the loss of the ability to engage in constructive dialogue. This interactive workshop helps participants navigate polarization and foster “good conflict” in their communities. Through case studies, interactive group work, and role-playing exercises, participants will explore practical tools for de-escalation, deep listening, and constructive dialogue—based on the “Good Conflict” framework developed by U.S. journalists Amanda Ripley and Hélène Biandudi Hofer.
Workshop Objectives:
• Identify the drivers of toxic conflict and the dynamics of difficult conversations
• Apply tools such as “looping” for deep listening and learn models for constructively embedding healthy conflict in dialogues about differences
By strengthening the capacity for “good conflict,” Dialogue Warriors aims to contribute to a healthier political culture—one in which differences can be expressed productively.
About the Facilitator:
Mackenzie Nelson, a trainer and process facilitator in the nonprofit sector, is concerned about the rise of polarization in Germany and around the world—and believes that we can all model better ways of arguing and dealing with differences. She aims to support people in initiating change within their own communities and creating spaces for constructive dialogue.
