That's what it's all about
Diana Salles reveals the beauty and depths of self-discovery in her contemporary circus solo. In "Delusional - I killed a man", the aerialist takes us on a journey through memories of her transition. She explores the liberating but also agonizing feeling of having murdered her former self. An experience that many trans women share when they finally leave their wrongly assigned gender behind. The physical and emotional strength it takes to acknowledge their own truth carries them and the audience through breathtaking flights of fancy.

Why it's worth seeing
The young Brazilian artist graduated from the renowned circus school Ecole Supérieure des Arts du Cirque in Brussels in 2018 and, with her first full-length piece, brings a personal and intimate story to the stage that is (still) rarely addressed in circus. Diana Salles has been awarded several prizes, including the bronze award at the Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain in Paris and the International Bursary Award at the Fringe Amsterdam Festival.
